GREEN COMPOUND: puncture protection with recycled natural rubber. GreenGuard is the name
for a 3 mm thick green safety belt made from a special India rubber. Highly elastic and partly made from recycled material, it is also used in Germany's best-selling tire, the Schwalbe Marathon. WHY USE RECYCLED MATERIAL? Recycling rubber materials and using renewable raw materials to an increasing extent saves energy and reduces the use of resources in tire production. WHY DOESN'T SCHWALBE USE GREEN COMPOUND FOR ALL TYRES? We are working to use more recycled and renewable raw materials in our compounds in the future. But it is still not possible to produce high-quality compounds for every purpose from these new materials. Green Compound perfectly meets the requirements we have for our Active tire line, as a proven and popular Road Cruiser.
